WHAT IS CORNHOLE?

Cornhole is a game for everyone.  You do not need to be an athlete, all you need is a healthy competitive attitude, the equipment, the space, and the desire to toss a bag of corn onto a board and into a hole.

You bring the healthy competitiveness and the desire, we will take care of the equipment and the space!

Once the playing field has been set up (which of course, The Local Taproom will take care of for you), you take your place standing next to the cornhole board.  It is important that you do not step beyond the base of the board as you toss your corn bag towards the board at the other end of the playing field. It is then your opponents turn.  This repeats until both competitors have tossed all 4 of their bags.

A bag that lands on the board scores 1 point.

A bag that lands in the hole scores 3 points.

Cancellation scoring is applied. At the end of the innings (that is, once both competitor A and B have both tossed all 4 bags) the player with the biggest score deducts the other players score and the result is what the winning player will score for that round.  As an example, if Player A scores 5 points and Player B scores 3 points, Player will calculate:

Score A    MINUS    Score B    EQUALS    Round Score

5            -            3            =            2

First competitor to reach 21 wins.

We will be running a FREE Opening Day round on Sunday May 4th from 2pm - 6pm.  Register via the Book Me In button below to make sure you don't miss out!

Then, moving forward....

Sunday's are Cornhole days at The Local Taproom.  Head on in anytime after 2pm and before 7pm, register at the bar, pay the participation fee ($20) and wait to be called to the playing field to toss some bags and see if you can take out the daily prize.
